Memory care and wellness programs are designed specifically for individuals who are living with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or another memory loss diagnosis. Our specialized memory program adds an extra hour to the core adult day health program.
During this added hour, your loved one will work to promote:
- Improved strength, balance and stamina via a 20-minute walk and balance exercises
- Memory and emotional well-being stimulation through cognitively challenging activities
A unique contract with the Veteran’s Administration makes those with VA benefits eligible to participate in this program. NWADH’s social worker can share additional info about VA benefits that may cover additional memory care services for veterans through the adult day health program.
Note: NWADH is a wellness program, not a memory care unit. Our compassionate and experienced staff provide enriching activities and general supervision for individuals who can follow basic direction. The program is not set up to care for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients who have a history of wandering.
A memory care unit, with more intensive (24-hours per day, seven days a week) supervision, is available next door at Christian Health Care Center.
